Maile — மயில் — is Tamil for peacock: a house of classic dress that carries its finery folded until the day is worth opening it for.

Mayil
In Tamil, மயில் — mayil — is the word for peacock: a bird whose most striking quality isn't its colour but its patience. It carries the whole of its plumage closed for most of its life, and opens it only when the occasion is worth the display.
House of Maile is built on that same discipline. The hand that cuts a weekday shirt is the same hand that sets the gold thread on a wedding drape. Nothing in the house is made carelessly because it is “only daily wear” — the fan is always there, simply folded until it's needed.

The craft
Same cloth room, same cutting table
Every piece in the house begins in the same room, on the same table. What changes across the range is only how much time — and how much gold — a piece is given.
Plate I — Folded, daily
Hand-finished seams and a single line of gold thread hidden at the inside collar, where only the wearer knows it's there.
Plate II — Full fan, occasion
Zari work laid by hand in the tradition of the house — thread over thread, never printed, never rushed.
